Mammas really understand how it feels to be a new mum.
  • Exciting

  • Lonely at times
  • Joyful

“I always feel accepted here, even when my baby is grumpy or crying!”

Looking after a small baby can be overwhelming! Spending all your time with a tiny baby who can be heart-melting one minute, and make you feel hopeless and helpless the next! Wondering if you can be a ‘good enough’ mum, to such a special and needy little baby.

At our groups you will always find a heartfelt welcome, no matter how you are feeling, and no matter how much of a mess you think you are looking!
“It is good fun to be here in mum & baby club. I was finding it difficult before but now I think life is easy to talk with other mums. Thanks”

Frequently Asked Questions

Are all mums welcome at Mammas Baby & Me? Do I need to book? Can I bring a friend?
What if I need to feed my baby while I’m there? Can I bring a toddler?

Mammas Baby & Me is for all new mums. There is no need to book, but it is important to get in touch first to check where we are meeting and when. Our Mamma Breastfeeding Supporters are always on hand too to offer tips and help for any mum who would like help with breastfeeding. Most weeks we also have an IBCLC Breastfeeding Specialist who can help with complex challenges. We also support mums who are bottle-feeding, and those moving on to solid foods. All our information is backed up by evidence and reflects the latest best practice.

Breastfeeding is normal and natural. It can also be a bit lonely, and we spend a lot of time doing it, especially in the early months. Spending a couple of hours or so with other breastfeeding mums can be very reassuring and rejuvenating. Experienced breastfeeding mums can help and encourage the newer ones; new mums can ask any questions they have, and feel positive about how they are doing a great job. Mums who are struggling can get help and accurate information on how to improve things.

If your baby needs feeding there is no problem – you may find it comforting to find yourself in a room of other mums who are feeding their babies. But if you prefer to breastfeed in private, we can find somewhere comfortable for you.

Relatives, female friends and toddlers are welcome too.
