Sometimes a new mother may need to use a breastpump to express her milk for a short while, while breastfeeding is being established, or if she is separated from her baby for any reason.
If you live in Leicester, Mammas can help. We have high quality, dual-action, electric pumps available to loan. We have Ardo Medical Elite and Calypso electric breastpumps. Both styles are recommended for any mother who needs to establish or maintain a milk supply for her baby.
A mother may need to borrow a breastpump for any of the following reasons -
Her baby is premature or sick and she wants to provide her breastmilk for him or her
Breastfeeding could not be established after birth for any reason
Breastfeeding has been interrupted and she wants to ensure she maintains a good supply
She may have started formula feeding and now regrets it and wants to go back to breastfeeding
Her baby is not able to fully breastfeed for any reason, and she wants him or her to only receive her breastmilk
She has to be separated from her baby for a time and wants her baby to receive her milk in the meantime
You will need to pay for the Collection Kit - the new pump parts that fit on your breasts to collect the milk. Borrowing the pump is free of charge.
If you need to hire a breastpump for any reason, call the Mammaline - 07794667791, Gujarati/Urdu Line - 07794667901, or call Sally - 07580159278. We will arrange a visit to show you how to use the pump, and if necessary to develop an Action Plan with you. We will help to keep you motivated to keep pumping, and suggest ways to maximise your milk production.
