Since its inception in 2016 we have attended meetings of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Infant Feeding and Inequalities in order to make the voices of mothers and babies heard in Parliament. We were invited to present on the topic of Infant Feeding and Inequalities at one of the first sessions. We are proud that we can bring a diversity and richness of culture and experience that struggles to get a voice in Westminster.
In October 2018 APPGIFI launched an inquiry on the costs of infant formula to families in the UK and the impact that the choice of infant formula, and the purchase of infant formula is having on the health, well-being and financial situation of families. The outcome of that enquiry and information on the work of the APPGIFI can be found at: http://www.infantfeedingappg.uk/.
