Mammas Baby Project is here to support families in crisis situations. We have helped over 130 mothers and babies in the last year. Amongst them were women living with or fleeing domestic violence, those in insecure housing and facing financial hardship, and those struggling with their mental health, and social isolation. Our staff provide a safe space to talk, giving emotional support, signposting and information around infant feeding and welfare. They also do outreach work, deliver antenatal education, give breastfeeding support and, where appropriate, provide emergency supplies of essentials and signpost to other organisations.
'‘When I came to Mammas, I was in a bad state and didn’t know which way to turn. I had nothing for me or my baby. I have had lots of help and you are always there for me to talk to and ask questions when I’m worried. I am so happy to have your support. You are like family to me"
"I want to thank you about supporting me to do expressing. They're always saying to me in hospital I'm doing really good. And today one of the other mums ask me about how I manage to feed all the babies. I told her all your advices"
